Residential
Our five lifesharing households are nestled throughout the Southern Berkshires. They are warm, inclusive spaces where diverse individuals live together like extended families. The term "lifesharing" reflects the deeply interconnected way we live at Cadmus. It's more than just sharing a home; it's about working together, growing together, and supporting one another every step of the way.
Our households offer stability and comfort, a safe haven from which we can confidently explore the wider world. Dedicated householders, staff, and volunteers provide guidance and support. Through lifesharing's close connections, we gain a true understanding of each other's needs, fostering a community where everyone feels seen and valued. This personalized approach, together with the natural benefits of social therapy, empowers individuals to discover their strengths, build skills, and lead lives filled with purpose and dignity.
We support one another, gather for shared meals, pursue creative hobbies, or attend social outings such as a concert at Tanglewood under a starlit summer sky. The rhythm of the seasons shapes our experiences, from the vibrant hues of fall foliage to the cozy warmth of browsing winter galleries. We celebrate the simple joys and milestones of life with special events and festivals, our spirits interwoven with the rich tapestry of the Berkshires.
The warm-heartedness and acceptance of lifesharing extend beyond our households. The neighboring Berkshire towns respect, value, and provide opportunities for our members, nurturing a truly inclusive environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
